(Non-DSB) Liza latest
A judge has tossed out David Gest’s $10 million lawsuit against his former wife Liza Minnelli.
According to reports, Minnelli’s medical expert contends that Gest’s headaches – the reason for the damages – are caused by a strain of herpes and not from beatings at the hand of a drunk Liza.

What’s the enigmatic Dame up to next?
Mike Dixon’s secret stuff
I was thrilled to meet Mike Dixon last month, as described on blog dated 29th August.
A very friendly and nice bloke. I could instantly sense why DSB likes working with him.
Mike has said that he is working on “some really great secret stuff” with DSB.

We will eventually find out … but this is wonderful news for today.
The much-awaited new album? A new TV special? A gala event to celebrate her 70th birthday? A 2007 tour? New songs?
Speculation, of course, but any of these would be fab-fab-fabuloso.
We’ll have to keep guessing until it’s announced, but this certainly is an Autumn Booster for fans.
You can be sure that if Mike’s involved it will be the best music.
I always said that DSB and MD are a Dream Ticket!

…It’s so good to hear from a super fan. 1986 was a classic tour.
This gives me a perfect excuse to start posting this exclusive 1986 gallery from David Stevenson

Learn to swim from Shirley’s instructor
Well, this is a bit far fetched, but the blog is fun so here goes.
This hotel claims to be the place where stars learnt to swim.
So now you can share the pool used by A-list celebs – if you can afford it.
Grand Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, France: Etched into the rim of a seaside cliff, the famous Olympic size swimming pool reflects the same steely blue hues of the Mediterranean which it seamlessly flows into.
No stranger to glitterati, the hotel’s Club Dauphin is home to legendary swimming instructor to the stars Pierre Gruneberg.
Famous names to fall under his tuition include Picasso, Ralph Lauren, Paul McCartney, Robin Williams, Liza Minelli, Aristotle Onassis, Shirley Bassey, Ronald Reagan and Bono.
Where’s my goggles?

Can anyone tell me which year?
Can you remember going to any of these concerts?
Wish it was the itinerary for a 2007 tour!
Thanks to Pieter for the scan

Fellow fans are still asking me about the release of ‘The Living Tree’ as a studio-produced single.
Back on 21st May the release date 28th August was published.
The source then was the fans newsletter from the rock group Never The Bride, who wrote the wonderful song. There has been no update since then to the best of my knowledge. The web site contact does not answer my mails so I have given up.
Any further news will be posted as soon as it arrives.
But it now looks like the release of a single is a dead log.
