Earlier this year a fan kindly wrote to me and recommended YouTube. I sent a rather snooty reply saying I was concerned about breach of copyright. Now YouTube is a massive success. 14 percent of Internet traffic in the USA is on YouTube.

This week Google confimed it’s buying YouTube for $1.65bn (£883m) in shares.
