Hi Peggy, Just thought I’d let you know that the Classic image of
Shirley on your blog is the same picture which appeared on the
Programme for The Star Time Show at the Alhambra Theatre in Glasgow.
The date of the show was 15th May l967. I have that original
programmme. Shirley appeared as top of the bill at that particular
show.

By coincidence, Jimmy sang a duet with Shirley on yesterday’s featured video.
He’s always been a great fan, is a true friend, and gives DSB the biggest build-up.
Jimmy went to Another Audience With Dame Shirley Bassey TV show, broadcast earlier this year.
I’ve enjoyed seeing him in cabaret several times over the years, including a New Year’s Eve party. I also like the Italian retaurant in SW London that he frequents. They have a small framed photo over his favourite table. When he’s not in, we reserve Jimmy’s table!
A delightful man and always great fun. That dry Liverpool humour is a winner.
