Well, I wonder if anyone’s seen this photo before.

Shirley was head-over-heels in love.

Sergio was a handsome, distinguished Italian. By all accounts a true gentleman.

During their happy 9 years of marriage Sergio was her manager. It was a creative period of successful recording and touring.

They divorced in 1977.

Shirley later amusingly referred to him as “The Italian”.
