St David’s Day
Welsh Dame with the Prince of Wales
Today March 1st is St David’s Day.
Wales is a country you can’t help but like!
It produces more than its fair share of great actors, great choirs, great sportsmen, great writers and, er, pretty good singers
The date of 1st March was chosen in remembrance of the death of Saint David on 1st March, 589, and has been celebrated by followers since then. The date was declared a national day of celebration within Wales in the 18th century.
