I have seen the next BGO set to be released will be ‘This Is My Life / Does Anybody Miss Me’. It is due out on 11th May. There are no details yet as to the tracks – hopefully there may be some bonus ones. The sleeve is not available to see either. As soon as more details are available I will let you know. Another great song choice today from my Brazilian friend and Bassey enthusiast Eddie Star. The song is Let Me Be The One and was recorded on 28 August 1972 though not released until 1994 on the collection Bassey – The EMI/UA Years. It was a recording out-take from the And I Love You So album, and is also included as a bonus track on the 1999 CD re-issue of that album. This is a beautiful love song written by Roger Nichols and Paul Williams and was originally recorded by The Carpenters.
