Dame Shirley
It has been confirmed that Dame Shirley is to appear on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing next Saturday evening which is the 21st November. This is one appearance many fans have been wanting Shirley to make. Then on 23rd November we will see her on the Graham Norton Show followed on the 24th November by the ‘Imagine’ programme. We have really got some things to look forward to.
It is also reported that there is to be an appearance on the ‘Lottery’ show on 21st November (not a personal appearance) and BBC4 will repeat her Electric Proms appearance. The Graham Norton Show is also repeated on the 24th November.
The new album ‘The Performance’ is also album of the week on Radio 2 starting this Monday 16th November. Shirley will be played throughout the week which will be great also.
I have also been informed that she is to appear on Paul O’Grady’s show on the 26th November. That should be another great appearance.

After looking forward so much to seeing Dame Shirley on Strictly – I wonder if anyone else feels the same as I do – and that is I found the programme very annoying in so much as that the Producers of the show will allow the Dancers to strut their stuff whilst the top spot is trying to sing – for me this spoilt Shirleys performance – as it was soooooo distracting having the audience applause all the time (and this was for the dancers) – surely the dancers get enough beforehand – so when are the BBC going to do away with this dancing spot and allow the singer whoever they may be to a actually sing and not have this distraction of dancers and applause going on. Strictly sickened is what comes to mind for me!.
Shirley as always gave her all and was wonderful despite the damn dancing!!
