Today we show you a clip from British TV. from 1994 where you can see Dame Shirley receiving the Show bussiness Personality of the Year Award. The clip is a request by Lydia who writes:
I love this site with all my heart. Thank you for your many
contribution of Dame Shirley’s love and life. I wonder if any of you
have acceptance speeches of Dame Shirley’s? I have only seen her
accept the one from the French Legionaire.I do remember she got one
from the British Walk of Fame. But she was scared of the water around
the stage and was not really able to accept the award properly. I was
a bit irritated at her people (manager, personal assistant) since they
should have prepped her on what to say, or at least that she would
need to prepare an acceptance speech. At any rate other than those, I
have not seen or heard any? She must have loads that I have just
missed over the years.
