Today Dame Shirley Bassey’s performance on the Midem Festival in Cannes from the year 1982. The evening was hosted by Michel Legrand. Dame Shirley Bassey opened the festival. She sang: ‘Goldfinger, All by myself and New York-New York’. The show was released on video and LP and called ‘The sound of applause’ . The medley at the end of the show by all the participating artists, was not included nor was ‘All by myself’ although it was mentioned on the cover of the Video and the LP. The whole show was televised in France (where it was called ‘Le Grand Studio’) and some South American countries and we were able to find the full show. Today part 1 with songs: New York-medley & All by myself.
