UK fans who may be watching the nightly TV series “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!” have witnessed Christopher Biggins suffering the trials of surviving among the jungle creepy-crawlies (and that’s just the other celebrities).
Everyone’s favourite pantomime Dame, Biggins helped raise funds at the live auction of clothes donated by Dame Shirley Bassey earlier this year. It was all for Barnardo’s children’s charity. The successful event was reported here in detail.
Biggins was on great form. He’s a jolly character, with a hysterical sense of humour. Good friends with Joan Collins too.
I also met him at a theatre in 2006, where Joannie was presenting her wonderful one-woman show. Huge fun. Joannie personally answered my questions about her friendship with DSB, with anecdotes. All reported here at the time.
Anyway, Biggins is appearing daily in the bug infested Australian jungle, a change from his usual pantomime stage.
This has prompted this repost of some photos of him taken at the Barnardo’s evening.
Surely Bassey, the tribute act, is pictured with Biggins, wearing the super gown won by superfan Hank.
Biggins is ‘surely’ on course to be the next King Of The Jungle!
