Here for your pure entertainment is Part 6 in the priceless series Le Grand Echiquier.

As explained in the previous 5 parts, this is from France’s TV5 in 1988.

We are treated to a delightful duet of Making Whoopee with Henri Salvador, followed by Yesterday When I Was Young  with the song’s composer Charles Aznavour. (Spike Milligan used to call him Charles ‘AsNoVoice 🙂

Henri Salvador is now 90 years of age and still in showbiz!

Charles Aznavour is now 83 years of age and also still in showbiz!

He is one of the most well-known singers in the world. Charles has composed about 1000 songs (including 150 in English, 100 in Italian, 70 in Spanish, and 50 in German), and sold well over 100 million records. Aznavour started his global farewell tour in late 2006.
