The 50th Grammy Awards are being held tonight at the Staples Center, Los Angeles.
Broadcast live in the USA on CBS.
Will she, won’t she? It’s doubtful if DSB will turn up for the induction of Goldfinger into the Hall of Fame, even less that she will perform it. Nothing has been confirmed, but nothing has been ruled out. Ever the optimist!
If the Grammys are Non-DSB, the show will still be well worth watching. It’s music’s biggest night.
In the UK it will be on ITV2 at 9pm on Monday 11th February.
Kanye West has eight nominations this year.
Aretha Franklin is Person of the Year 2008.
Amy Winehouse has six nominations including Album of the Year. I’ve been told by a fan that DSB is said to love the album.
Amy’s visa arrived too late to travel, with all the logistics and timing complications. She will be performing by satellite broadcast from London. Press Association link here.
Sir Paul McCartney is up for three awards.

Corinne Bailey Rae, a British singer-songwriter, is also up for Song of the Year.
And Lily Allen’s debut Alright, Still is nominated for Best Alternative Music Album. She performed at the Fashion Rocks show last November, on the same bill as DSB. I like her bouncy songs and unpretentious London accent.
Why not watch DSB at Frocks too?
A pretty good showing for the Brits!

And finally, if you like it loud…
Rock band, the Foo Fighters, are up for multiple awards.
Get blasted here – not for those who want a quiet life 🙂
