Dame Shirley Bassey attends Bruce Forsyth’s 80th birthday party.

Forsyth appears on Jonathan Ross’s BBC One chat show on Friday, and has recorded a birthday special to be broadcast on Sunday.

“What a way to start a birthday!” Forsyth said as he posed with the pair, who were resplendent in feathers and silver sequins.

“Recently I found an image for a magazine called “Picture Post”. On
the cover of the November 1956 is Shirley Bassey (“The Girl From Tiger Bay”).

She must have been really popular to wind up on the cover of a
magazine at such an early time of her career. I tried to fix up the
image, but that was the best that I could do.”
