There’s No Place Like London
Written by Lynsey de Paul and Gerard Kenny.

Released in 1986 on a single, and never released on an album.

The song had been written for The British Tourist Board and was then offered to Shirley Bassey. She made this music video to promote the song. I remember goind to see its ‘premiere’ at the Royal Albert Hall. Composer Linsey de Paul was in the audience, easily identified by her very long golden blonde hair.

The British Tourist Board were running a publicity campaign to attract tourists, specially Americans, back to London after the IRA terrorist bombings had frightened everyone.
