Your wonderful messages have all been ‘processed’ via this blog for a certain Dame recuperating at home. Printed on parchment paper and sent to Monte-Carlo.

I’m gradually trying to reply with a thank you to every fan who sent your kind wishes for a speedy recovery. If you don’t get a direct thank you this weekend, please be assured that your emotions have been channeled in the Dame’s direction.

Here’s an amusing story from Gary… who’s wife thought he might be gallavanting with another woman whe she saw his new MySpace Social Networking account! 

We all have “another woman” in our lives because all us fans just love Shirley! 🙂

Thank you for providing an avenue to express well wishes for Dame Shirley. I am certain that she was very touched by all of the comments.

We are very happy that she is recovering and is home.

 

I did go on her MySpace page and sent an e-mail, when I saw the news story on Yahoo, early Tuesday.

I had to join MySpace (not exactly my cup of tea). I actually got a reply to the e-mail, but my wife deleted it because she thought it was “spam” and was wondering “Exactly what was I doing on MySpace?”

I had some ‘splaining to do.

We’re all glad that DSB is back home now.

PS Re. above: I didn’t know fans threw mud at her at Glastonbury.  Never seen that reported before.

Does anyone know anything about it?

Mind you, DSB is used to being the target of mudslinging over the years…  all undeserved.

 

Out of hospital

Dame Shirley has been discharged from hospital.

Her spokesman Paul Carey said: “She is out of hospital today and back at home, resting up and on the road to a full recovery”.

Dame Shirley’s friend Liza Minnelli is live on stage Monday 2nd.
