This week the first of two requests from Lydia, who so kindly wrote to me saying “Thank you for the immense joy you bring to my life with this site. I learn so much about Dame Shirley that I have missed. (I am a fan since Oct 09) She is such a phenomenal woman. I am so glad you all pay her such respect and dignity with this site. She sure deserves it. I am sure she is proud of the site. Thank you all for your diligence and hard work with this site.

Lydia put it all so well. I have enjoyed dsb for a few more years than Lydia, I feel I almost grew up with her!! I moved to the west coast of Canada, and dsb sort off went off my radar screen. No news of her here. Glastonbury and I found her all over again. Not that she was lost, I just lost her.
Astrid, I am sorry I cannot speak German, but if I may, I will say , in a tongue dear dsb will recognise, diolch ya fawr.
