New Photos Of Dame Shirley Bassey

Sharing this festive message and great new photographs from Lock Stock & Barrel Records…

Hi Everyone,

Lock Stock and Barrel Records are delighted to release four previously unseen promotional photographs of Dame Shirley Bassey taken at her video shoot for Get The Party Started. Our friends in the media or fans wishing to promote Dame Shirley are most welcome to request full sized images by contacting us.

Get The Party Started was used as the title song for this year’s big Cats and Dogs movie, The Revenge Of Kitty Galore, which is now available on DVD and Blu-Ray.

The Get The Party Started album and singles, and The Living Tree single are still available all over the world on iTunes and other download sites. Why not treat a loved one to the gift of Dame Shirley this Christmas? If you live in the UK or Ireland you can still buy the Deluxe Edition of the album, with exclusive bonus tracks for a very special limited price.

This week I’m playing the first of two special requests from Teigan. You’ve Made Me So Very Happy from the Love Life And Feelings album. I hope you enjoy it Teigan and I would certainly recommend BGO’s CD “Nobody Does It Like Me/Love Life & Feelings” which is digitally remastered and sounds great.

'Golden Collection'

Continuing with CDs from around the world here is another which I have just received from the Philippines.  This is another CD on the Dyna label and once again there are no details of when it was released.  I liked the selection of songs on the CD ‘The Great Shirley Bassey’ but I think I prefer the 22 tracks featured on this CD more.  As I played the CD each song seemed to fit with the previous one.  I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

Tray Inlay.

As I have said there are 22 tracks on this compilation.  There are 6 tracks from the ‘I Am What I Am’ album and the rest are original recordings from the EMI/UA catalogues.  I was a little surprised by the inclusion of some tracks such as ‘Someone Who Cares’ , ‘The Shadow Of Your Smile ‘ and ‘Moonraker’ but really nice to hear them out of their original albums.  Once again the quality is really good.  Some nice early Columbia tracks included too.  ‘Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye’, one of my all time favourites, along with ‘The Party’s Over’ and ‘Let There Be Love’.

Back tray inlay listing tracks.

I really like this CD and it’s a nice addition to my collection.  It’s great to have a different compilation to all the usual ones and the many releases of ‘Keep The Music Playing’ etc.  As with ‘The Great …’ this CD cost $24.99 plus postage.
