Dame Shirley is to sing the song ‘Goldfinger’ at the Classic Brit Awards next month. For the very first time a posthumous award will be made. John Barry will be honoured with an award for his outstanding contribution to music. The awards take place on 12th May at the Royal Albert Hall. The awards are usually recorded and then shown on TV.

No-one could be more deserving of the award than “Sir” (why wasn’t he one??!) John Barry. The man was a musical genius. Looking forward to Dame Shirley’s performance!
