It’s a great rhythm; even with the liberties taken with the original track Shirley’s vocal works brilliantly. Imagine her doing the song live with a backing like that!

all remixes are interesting but these disortions are just remixing for the sake of it

WHEN DAME SHIRLEY SINGS ” LIGHT MY FIRE”…… LIVE IN CONCERT…. THIS IS ONE VISION THAT REMAINS WITHIN YOUR HEAD… WHEN SHE IS SWIRLING HER CAPE AROUND HER, IN TIME TO THE MUSIC. I CAN STILL SEE HER, AFTER MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCING THIS. THIS REMIX DOES NOT DO ANYTHING FOR THIS SONG..

Not bad , an ok effort, sounded like an ok little morning excercise bouce. But no real absolute justice to the voice and music of the all around BEST female vocalist in pop music ever! Very few have been able to render a really good remix or update on anything she’s done outside of Yello’s 1990s version of their ” Rhythm Devine” with her from the 1980s. Then there’s the ” Get The Party Started” cd. Now the folks who worked on those classics did quite well indeed. They really knew how to touch on her greatness. But in this age of remixing every little pop sensation that comes on the scene, I guess some feel they can touch on her stature as well. NOT! Because there are some things that can’t be touched or altered. Such is usually the case with Dame Shirley’s music. So folks if you’re going to atempt it, you better know what you’re doing or eles stay up on the porch and let the big dogs bouce. But this version of ” Light My Fire” was alright.
