Thank you Pieter. This is a real treasure. Reading this article I see just how down to earth and transparent Dame Shirley is. It takes a lot of humbleness to share such a personal aspect of one’s life as she did in this article. Celebrities do this more these days than during that era. She may have helped many other women/couples who were going through the same heartbreaking experience by sharing her personal struggle. Dame Shirley is a real trooper, and deserves all respect for her transparency.
