Newly released photo taken at Abbey Road Studios now adorns the holding page of Dame Shirley Bassey’s official Sony Music website:
Another photo has appeared on RCA Label Group UK’s social media:
I think she looks really relaxed and very natural and can’t wait to hear some music from the much anticipated album.
RCA Records is one of Sony Music Entertainment’s flagship labels.
YES! Love the orchestra photo. This slow marketing build up is such a tease but in a good way.

These pictures are absolutely stunning! Looks like she’s been recording ‘live’ with the orchestra, like in the ‘old’ days. Looking very much forward to the new CD. And I fully agree with Maria’s remark about the marketing build-up. Slow, teasing, but very smart!

Smart like putting a beautifully wrapped present under the tree a month before Christmas – irresistible, alluring & unforgettable. Also, DSB looks in her element within the orchestra. Ah, the anticipation begins …

It may be that RCA in the states wanted DSB to do a cd after the world cover of the Oscars performance !

I hope there will be (and that the Dame want to…) a great marketing operation.
The world must know this album.

Shirley did say that maybe `THE PERFORMANCE` would be her epitaph so she must be vocally confident and either be pleased at the choice of material or it is a CD of all songs she has collected to record. RCA is major label so the album will be widely available. If not a concert I would like to see a TV SPECIAL featuring songs from this album .A return to the ROYAL VARIETY SHOW is also overdue and as this is held in November annually an appearance with new songs would be marvellous.
