Dame Shirley Bassey to Perform at October 29th amFAR Gala in Los Angeles

Shalini Dore at Variety reports that Dame Shirley Bassey will be making a rare American performance at amFAR’s Inspiration Gala on 29th October in Los Angeles. Gwyneth Paltrow will host the event honouring Tom Ford at Milk Studios in Hollywood.

Sharon Stone, will be joined by event chairs Bryan Lourd, Aileen Getty, and amfAR chairman Kenneth Cole at the black-tie event. A veritable who’s who of Hollywood has signed up to co-chair the gala including Matt Bomer, Courteney Cox, John Demsey, Michael Patrick King, Daphne Guinness, Simon Halls, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Tim Hanlon, Alan Poul, Vincent Roberti, Rich Ross, JR Savet and Amber Valletta.

Launched in 2010 to raise funds for AIDS research, the galas have a different city and theme each year, raising $16m so far. Already this year there have been two such galas, in Milan and Dallas.
