  1. The very BEST person to represent British entertainment and as usual a perfect performance. I haven’t seen this before – thanks Pieter for showing.

  2. JUST SUPERB PERFORMANCE, AS SHARLENE SAYS A MUCH YOUNGER DAME SHIRLEY, IT WAS JUST A FEW MONTHS BEFORE THIS IN 1963, I WAS ONLY 23 & DAME SHIRLEY 26
I MET & HAD MY PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN WITH DSB, AFTER HER CONCERT IN LEICESTER, & BIRMINGHAM, I LOOK AT THEM EVERY DAY WITH THE SAME THRILL & EMOTIONS I FELT THEN .
53 YEARS AGO, BUT IN 2013, [ 50 ] YEARS LATER DAME SHIRLEY
AUTOGRAPHED THEM FOR ME THAT EMOTION CAN’T BE EXPLAINED TO ANYONE ELSE.
ONLY I MYSELF CAN FEEL “THAT” EMOTION, IT CAN’T BE PASSED ON , NOW I AT 76 & DSB AT 79, AS THE SONG SHIRLEY SINGS , ” ONCE IN A LIFTIME ” A GUY AS A MOMENT THAT WAS CERTAINLY MINE & IT’S LASTED A LIFTIME , EXCEPT FOR ME IT’S BEEN [ TWICE IN A LIFTIME } LIKE DAME SHIRLEY,
[ I AM A CAPRICORN } I JUST LOVE THE GREATEST ENTERTAINER IN THE WORLD. [ ENEOGH SAID } .
    THANKS PIETER, MUCH APPRECIATED.

  3. Lovely archive Pieter. DSB looks and sounds beautiful. What a talent at such a young age, only a preview of what would continue to be a long and extraordinary entertainment career. Thanks very much Pieter.
