Love Is In The Air

Today my favourite song from Dame Shirley’s first BBC show from 1979 with all the information from the Radio Times about the recording of the song on a Jamaican beach.

Lyrics:

Love is in the air everywhere I look around
Love is in the air every sight and every sound
And I don’t know if I’m being foolish
Don’t know if I’m being wise
But it’s something that I must believe in
And it’s there when I look in your eyes.

Love is in the air, in the whisper of the tree
Love is in the air in the thunder of the sea
And I don’t know if I’m just dreaming
Don’t know if I ‘m feeling safe
But it’s something that I must believe in
And it’s there when you call out my name

Love is in the air
Love is in the air
Oh, oh, oh, oh, uh

Love is in the air, in the rising of the sun
Love is in the air, when the day is nearly done
And I don’t know if you’re an  illusion
Don’t know if I see it through
But you are something that I must believe in
And you are there when I reach out for you

Love is in the air everywhere I look around
Love is in the air in every sight and every sound
And I don’t know if I’m being foolish
Don’t know if I’m being wise
But it’s something that I must believe in
And it’s there when I look in your eyes

Love is in the air
Love is in the air
Oh, oh, oh, oh, uh

Oh, love is in the air
Love is in the air
Oh, oh, oh, oh, uh

  2. Thank you Pieter. ,The description of this filming is hilarious. ,What an interesting sight that must have been for anyone watching. Wish I were there to see it. Between all the interruptions, Mr. Alexander conducting, Mr. Lythgoe dancing and the cameras it is amazing that DSB could even concentrate and sing this beautiful song so beautifully. A testament to DSB’s professionalism and great musical talent. .
