On Friday the 23rd. at 5 am. Dame Shirley Bassey  was admitted to hospital in Monaco, after complaining of severe abdominal pain. Doctors diagnosed a blockage in her intestine and she was immediately taken into surgery.
Paul Carey, Dame Shirley’s spokesman, said the singer was recovering well at the Princess Grace of Monaco private hospital.

  1. All I can say is thank God that DSB survived this serious medical emergency. I believe this is one of a number of medical emergencies that she has had over the years. That is why she can sing “I’m Still Here” with true authenticity and gratitude. This has made her a much more sensitive human being, which cones through in her sparkling , wise smile and happy content demeanor. Thanks a lot Pieter. You and your team are the best.
