Run On And On

The song “Run On And On” from the 1975 album “Good, Bad But Beautiful” was written especially for Shirley by Mercia Love from Johannesburg.
Below a newspaper article about her and how she came to write this song for Shirley Bassey. (From Rien’s collection)
Unfortunately this song was never performed live but you can listen to the studio version here.

Looking at the songs on this album I realized that Shirley sang many of the songs from this album at concerts and in TV-shows.
Below you can find all the titles that were performed live or on TV shows. Send In The Clowns, Good Bad But Beautiful, Sing, The Way We Were. I’ll Be Your Audience, All In Love Is Fair, Jesse, Living.

  2. Thank you Pieter This was the album my father brought home. I always love the photo on the album cover also. It seemed to bring the true essence of the younger DSB out with that most friendly transparent smile. I sang Big Spender only GOD knows how many times as well as the title song😀😀😀
