Today I would like to share a video and a newpaper article with you from 1989. It was the year when DSB recorded her Spanish album called ‘La Mujer’. As you know I am an avid video collector and for the last few weeks I have been going through my friend Rien’s video tapes. I spend many hours going 
through video tapes and it is aways a thrill to find a new piece of footage like this one. Unfortunately the video tapes that are between 20 and 30 years old are really in decline now. This video has a poor quality too unfortunately because of its age but I thought I was worth sharing with you anyway because it is so 
unique. It is a recording from CNN (Showbizz today). So if there are any fans who still have old video tapes please send them to us and I will scan them for new footage. We have a huge archive now of videos and sometimes I also find things we already have in a better quality.

Thank you Pieter. What very interesting articles. I wonder what happened with Mr. H, and did Vivien Jones ever show up. I don’t think Cher and Tina were very happy with the comment DSB made. Thanks a lot Pieter

I don’t know how anyone who professed to like or care about Tina would publicly state that they preferred her music with Ike — even if they were sincere.

I personally do not like critical comments from one artist to another for the simple reason that it will not do to compare one another whatsoever. The two female artists mentioned could not care less about Shirley’s comments though, they are in a leaque of their own, as Bassey is in hers. They were however commercially more succesful than Shirley Bassey ever was in her career.
