The year 1964 was a very significant year for Shirley Bassey. It was the years her biggest hit Goldfinger was recorded and the birth of her second daughter Samantha.
A concert was recorded at Carnegie Hall on 15 Feb 1964 But it was only published in 1994 on the compilation CD Bassey – The EMI/UA Years 1959 – 1979

MEMORIES, 1963 /1964, I was at a CONCERT in APRIL 63, Shirley announced during her concert she was going to have a baby in the Autumn, [ SAMANTHA ] , that same evening,,after the concert I had a photograph taken with DAME SHIRLEY in her dressing room.
I bought a Cuddly toy for Shirley’s forth coming baby, & I gave it to Dame Shirley the Following Concert in Birmingham 5 days later .on the Stage, I have Photo’s of both these occasions , which I have sent to THE BASSEY BLOG , a few years back..
THIS ARCHIVE, for me means so much,,i was 23, in 1963, Dame Shirley 26 , Samantha was born November 63 ,
