Dame Shirley Bassey performing at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee?…………

Next year in 2022 Queen Elizabeth will be on the throne for 70 years and in June she will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee. Of course we all wonder if Dame Shirley Bassey will perform like she did at the Diamond Jubilee in 2012 and the Golden Jubilee in 2002 and what song(s) she will sing? For the Golden Jubilee she sang Goldfinger and for the Diamond Jubilee Diamonds Are For Ever. So will it be a Bond song, a Classic or a Ballad or a song from her last album or maybe even a song she never recorded but only sang live like for instance Summertime? That is why we have a poll here at the blog where you can add the song that you think is the most suitable for the Jubilee performance. So please leave your thoughts in the comments.

  1. I agree with Terence. That beautiful song seems very appropriate. Now if the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee was this year, I think the appropriate song would be the very poignant and passionate song ‘ Sometimes’ which I loved hearing DSB sing. Have a lovely weekend Pieter and all the fans.

  2. Something totally different like Anthem from ‘Chess’, God Save the Queen (she could open the show with that!), Land of Hope and Glory (!) or even close the show with We’ll Meet Again 🤗
