Today some newspaper articles from 1958. Terrence Davis who held Shirley Bassey hostage in November 1957 was sentenced to three years in prison. The singles Hands Across The Sea/As I Love You and Kiss Me Honey Honey Kiss Me/There’s Never Been A Night were hits that year. In the featured image you see Shirley with her dog Beaujolais.

  1. What an interesting and terrifying experience for DSB at that young age. Then to top it off with the tomato and egg throwing event. Good she was able to keep herself seemingly calm and collected even though her pianist knew she was to the contrary as she missed her timing as she was singing. I wonder what became of Mr. Davis. Seemed to be a tormented man. I’m glad he did not become a stalker after his release from jail. This was intriguing. You’ve outdone yourself Pieter. Thank you.
