Dame Shirley Bassey will perform iconic Bond theme song at The Baftas to celebrate their 60th anniversary

JAMES Bond fans should tune into the EE British Academy Film Awards next Sunday – as singing legend Dame Shirley Bassey is putting on a special performance in honour of the 60th anniversary of the franchise.

I can exclusively reveal the superstar, who is the only person to have ever recorded more than one Bond theme tune, will be belting out a classic from the 007 films to kick off the ceremony at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Dame Shirley Bassey is putting on a special performance. Insiders are staying tight-lipped about which of the songs Dame Shirley will perform but she’s got three of the best to pick from – with her title tracks including Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker.

Dame Shirley’s performance isn’t the only treat the film Bafta bosses have lined up, as they have a star-studded roster of actors ready to dish out the famous mask awards.

The bombastic vocals of Dame Shirley Bassey are set to help bring the upcoming BAFTAs alive as the star is due to perform one of her Bond theme classics as part of the awards show extravaganza.

And 85-year-old Dame Shirley is due to be something of a jewel in the crown of the night’s events – which will take place on Sunday 13 March at the Royal Albert Hall – as she will take to the stage to belt out one of her iconic Bond songs to mark 60 years of the spy-themed franchise.

Dame Shirley performed three of the past Bond themes – Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker – but show insiders are keeping their own mouths firmly closed over which of the songs the Welsh wonder will perform on the night.

Below two videos where Dame Shirley speaks about her James Bond songs and a video from 10 years ago in honour of 50 years  James Bond.
