For today’s blog we go back to 1989. We have 5 newspaper articles from that year and a wonderful radio interview. A Shirley Bassey milestone that year was the recording of her beautiful Spanish album La Mujer that didn’t do well unfortunately due to very bad promotion of the record company. Shirley went to Chile that year to the Vina del Mar festival to promote the album. Also that year Shirley moved from Marbella to Monte Carlo.

La Mujer is a beautiful album, and the songs are great. DSB did the Italian album in 1969, both that one and this Spanish project are outstanding work. After living in Monaco for 33 years, how about an album in French!!
