FROM THE ARCHIVE 561 -2007-

Never the bride & Shirley 1

‘Let me dance till my shoes cry’ was the line that appealed to Dame Shirley Bassey and made her decide to record the song The Living Tree. It was Never The Bride who ‘prevented’ her from retirement and all of a sudden there were two hits: Get The Party Started & The Living Tree. So 2007 became a busy year for her after all. She helicoptered into the Glastonbury Festival and won the festival crowd over with a wonderful performance of her new songs and of course her old hits. Below a radio interview by Simon May with Dame Shirley.
