Wonderful news, but then if you want style, class and great artistry then Dame Shirley then she is the ideal choice. We can but hope that the recording is reissued in full. The full English Italian recording of `This Is My Life` I was delighted to have when the boxed set ` BASSEY..the Emi, United Artists Years 1959-1979 was issued. On the closing night of the 1980 UK tour which concluded with reopening the London Apollo Victoria for 7 consecutive nights, an audience member called out “sing it in Italian” when she announced it and she went into it , which was wonderful. Shirley also said artists should leave something behind at the venue and said she would leave her shoes. I was lucky to see the concert on three nights. It was also special because she included `If I Never Sing Another Song`
