In my excitement I sent the last message before finishing! Dame Shirley is in a league of her own and has been for 60 years. Maybe just maybe we may be treated to a full Xmas album next year to celebrate her 80th – I wish!

Thank you Pieter. I agree with all the comments of my fellow DSB fans above. The program was altogether hilarious, and Blake and DSB were really outstanding. DSB and the gents looked very classy, and of course DSB added to the show with her unique sense of style, grace and down to earth sense of humor. Looks like it’s going to be another busy year ahead for DSB as she approaches her 79th birthday, and I couldn’t be happier for her and Blake. Looking forward to a new album, and short concert tours in the UK and NYC. May their charities continue to receive the needed funds for the children. Thanks again Pieter!

I think Shirley and Blake together are excellent and I enjoyed the interview when everyone was on sparkling form. They are on BBC 1 Christmas Day on `STRICTLY COME DANCING `
