Today a few newspaper articles from the year 2008. In May 2008 Dame Shirley Bassey had an emergency operation on her stomach. She wanted to perform for Nelson Mandela’s 90th. birthday but her doctors advised against it. Also that year Eartha Kitt past away on Christmas.
