Today the duet Dame Shirley Bassey did on ‘Le grand echiquier’ with Charles Aznavour. Song: ‘Yesterday when I was young’. Below you also find the cover of a single that was released in Japan with a live version of the song which was her biggest hit in Japan. On this show Shirley presented Charles Aznavour a gold disc. Below short a video of that but unfortunately the quality is bad.

We used to call this gown ‘The Cockerel’. It was a particular favourite of Dame Shirley as she wore it many times between 1981-1988, with different hairstyles. Sadly it got burnt in a back stage fire in 1989 and destroyed.
